Grateful, Grateful

Happy Saturday all!
As we progress through the pandemic, we may be doing so with a lot of doubt, fear, and anxiety. But we also do so with hope and gratitude.
I am a firm believer in cultivating gratitude and I share gratitude each day with a group of friends. Morning texts, prayers, and songs, help me to focus my thinking on all that I have, not what is missing. I will admit, it can be challenging at times, perhaps never more so than in these days.
And on those days when negative feelings overwhelm me, my gratitude may simply be that I woke up sober this morning and that I believe that things will get better. And on other days, I am grateful for a deep connection with a Higher Power, with nature, and with my fellow human beings.
There is a beautiful song written by John Bucchino called “Grateful”. And there is this incredible verse in the middle of the song that speaks powerfully to me, and I hope to all of us. God never leaves our side.
“I feel a hand holding my hand, It's not a hand you can see.
But on the road to the promised land, This hand will shepherd me
Through delight and despair, Holding tight and always there”

Thank you for this. Grateful.
